Wedding Photography FAQ

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: My style is clean, classic, and timeless. I don't add any unnatural colors or effects while editing and prefer to document your story as accurately and authentically as possible. A good majority of the wedding photos I take capture candid moments and document genuine emotions. I also love to capture the details: your wedding dress, the bouquet, the shoes, the rings...During your formal portraits, I provide some instruction and guidance so that you and your guests look their best!

Q: How many images can we expect to receive from our wedding day?

A: Since every wedding is unique, I can't provide a specific number, however I typically provide approximately 75-100 images per hour of coverage — that's an average of one photo per minute!

Q: What do your wedding photography collections include?

A: All of my wedding photography collections include edited digital copies of the best images from your wedding day. This includes both high resolution and web-ready copies, as well as a print release. In addition, the photos will be uploaded to an online viewing and ordering gallery that you can share with family and friends. My most popular wedding collections include a talented second photographer for complete coverage of your wedding day!

Q: What kind of products do you offer?

A: My most popular product is a custom designed signature wedding album. Covers are available in 15 linen colors and 20 leather colors. I also offer gallery wrap canvas, professional prints and heirloom keepsake USBs with wood boxes.

Q: How many photographers do you work with?

A: For smaller weddings with less than 50 guests, I may work alone or with an assistant. Most of the weddings I photograph include a second photographer. If you would like to learn more about second photographers, I explain the benefits in depth in this Blog Post. I have a network of experienced colleagues that I call upon for weddings requiring a second photographer. They are all amazingly talented!

Q: What happens if you are unable to photograph our wedding?

A: I have never missed a wedding that I was hired to photograph. In the highly unlikely event that I cannot photograph your wedding, I would find a suitable replacement through my network of Maine wedding photographers.

Q: Do you have insurance?

A: Absolutely! In fact, many venues that I work with require vendors to carry business liability insurance.

Q: We are ready to book! What's the next step?

A: Great! I will create our contract and depending on where you are located, we can either meet up for coffee, or I can send it to you electronically. Once you've signed the contract and have paid the retainer, you have booked me for your wedding date! Now, relax — that's one last thing you need to worry about!
