Meet Trina Dinnar — A Maine Wedding Photographer Capturing Timeless Love Stories

My Approach

With over 25 years of photography experience and more than 12 years (and 250 weddings!) as a full-time wedding photographer, I specialize in capturing love stories with a timeless, romantic aesthetic. My illustrative style blends classic portraiture with photojournalistic storytelling—preserving the genuine moments, joyful details, and quiet in-between glimpses that make your day uniquely yours.

Clients often tell me how comfortable and at ease they feel in front of my camera. That’s no accident—it’s part of my approach. I’m outgoing, upbeat, and genuinely love connecting with people. I believe that when you feel relaxed and seen, your truest moments shine through—and those are the moments worth remembering.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is the quiet time I get to spend with just the couple. It’s a chance to slow down, breathe it all in, and create some of the most heartfelt and authentic images of the day.

About Me

I was born and raised in southern Maine, and my heart is still very much rooted here. I feel a deep connection to the coastal towns of Wells and York—places where I spent my childhood and where my parents met. In fact, I’ve traced my family’s history in Wells back to the town’s first settlers in the 1640s. That sense of legacy, of honoring the past, influences the way I see the world and the work I create.

When I’m not photographing weddings, you can usually find me chasing golden hour, wandering through flower gardens, or taking scenic drives throughout Maine and even into the mountains of North Conway, New Hampshire. I love discovering and exploring charming new towns—always with my camera in hand.

I often have a very special travel companion—my 12-year-old daughter Lydia. She’s a creative soul with a sharp eye and a heart of gold. She inspires me daily with her unique ideas, clever observations, and thoughtful spirit.

You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.

Fun Facts

💖 My photography was published when I was just a teenager in 1998—and I’ve been storytelling through images ever since.

📚 I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English, which helps me bring a narrative eye to every wedding I photograph.

💅 My friends lovingly call me a “girly girl”—I adore soft colors, romantic details, and anything floral.

🎶 I have a deep love of music and an uncanny ability to name nearly any artist, genre, or finish the lyrics to just about any song. While my heart belongs to the classic Rock ’n’ Roll of the 70s and 80s, I listen to everything—from 50s and 60s Oldies to 90s Alternative, Metal, Pop, and beyond. No genre is off limits!

🌅 I’m a golden hour chaser and a hopeless romantic. My favorite word is love, and I’m lucky enough to witness it every weekend.
