The 1812 Farm Bristol Maine Wedding | Lindsey and Arthur

I enjoyed reading Lindsey and Arthur’s love story on their wedding website so much that I decided to share their story here:

Arthur and Lindsey met while they were both working at Cabbage Island Clambakes. Both of them contemplated their choice to go to work on the Island that year, yet they did.

Before long Arthur caught Lindsey's eye with his put together look, charming smile, and wonderful personality. Lindsey asked Samantha to put in a good word with Arthur and suggest to him that he ask Lindsey out.

Later that week Arthur texted Lindsey and asked her out to dinner. Lindsey accepted. The next week Arthur swept Lindsey off to Camden, Maine, to a wonderful dinner at the Waterfront restaurant, not knowing Lindsey is not a fan of Seafood.

The second date, Lindsey set up a movie night on her grandparents dock. At the end of the date Arthur and Lindsey shared their first kiss. Since that date Arthur and Lindsey became inseparable, spending every night together. Arthur asked Lindsey to be his girlfriend. After a few months of dating Arthur said to Lindsey, "I think that I love you." To which Lindsey responded, "do you think or do you know?"

In the years to follow Arthur and Lindsey shared many adventures. Arthur shipping off to Washington, moving in together in January of 2017, Arthur getting his 3rd AE license, adopting their dog child, Dutch, and their adorable cat, Socks.

On February 21, 2018, Arthur popped the question to Lindsey. She had been at work all day. When she got home, Arthur picked her up from the Ferry and suggested that they go for a ride (not uncommon) and drove her to Town Beach. It was freezing but Arthur suggested that they take a walk so he gave Lindsey his coat and they took off onto the beach. The night was like a fairy tale. The sky was a pastel pink and purple. Arthur had picked a small patch of sand within the rocky beach. After staring out at the coast line for a minute he got down on one knee and asked Lindsey to marry him. Her response was to cry and scream “Oh my goodness, you’re serious” and then finally answer, “yes”.
